Prowash Australia was formed in March 1996 with a vision to provide superior customer service and supply only quality car wash equipment, service, parts and products to existing and future car wash operators throughout Australia. It has always been our priority to develop and maintain strong, successful and positive relationships with our customers.
Back in 1999, Prowash saw a need in the Australian market to develop and manufacture reliable and functional self serve car wash equipment and vacuums. So that’s what we did and today there are over 200 car wash facilities nationwide using our Prowash iWash® self serve and iVac vacuums. Proudly, Prowash car wash equipment is represented and supported in each state by an expert Distributor.
As a key supplier to the Australian car wash industry, Prowash offers a comprehensive range of products to meet all your car washing needs - everything from spare parts to soap supplies and vending products. Our expansive warehouse and head office, located at Tullamarine along with our 3rd party warehouses in Western Australia and Queensland, allows us to provide superior service and products to car washes nationwide.
We focus on fulfilling the needs of all car wash owners and we do this by representing superior brands and by carrying an extensive range of spare parts and vending products at competitive prices. Since 2001 Prowash has been manufacturing the iWash® Self Serve carwash system along with iVac, a turbo vacuum renowned in the car wash industry for its reliability and durability. Prowash sells this equipment through a reputable distributor network, with representation in each state and territory.
Fast forward to 2017 and we’ve seen many changes in equipment, upgrades, car wash installs, new products, new customers, new logos and the industry continues to grow as does Prowash, where we have now expanded our business to exporting products across the sea to our neighbours in New Zealand. Prowash is committed to keeping up with the latest industry trends and providing our customers with the best and concurrent service and products.

My relationship with car washing began in 1993. With my retired father I designed, installed and managed the daily operations of our family owned car wash site. Little did I know then, this was the first of many car wash sites I would be involved in. It was then that car washing became a big part of my life and I developed a passion for the Australian car wash industry. I wanted to be able to provide owners and operators with a ‘one stop shop’ for all their car washing needs and this is how Prowash began way back in 1996.
I have been lucky enough to be involved in every aspect of owning and running a carwash and really do understand the needs of our customers. My role as CEO of Prowash allows me to oversee each team and interact with all team members on a daily basis. Today I still like to think of Prowash as a tight knit family business. While there are managers for each team, I still like to be hands on and know what is going on, what orders we are making and receiving and which car wash owners need our help. To do this I find communication is the key and therefore have an ‘open door’ policy for the Prowash team.
I am proud of the great culture we have at Prowash. Everyone looks out for each other, respects one another and helps out whenever they can – even if it is in a different area or in a role that may not be in their ‘job description’. I am a committee member for the Australian Car Wash Association, and Prowash has been an active member since its inception in 1998.
On a personal note, my wife is also involved in the business and my kids can often be seen around the office trying to earn extra pocket money. My hobbies include running, cycling and I have competed in a few Ironman competitions.
